Mišo Brečko's Olimpija debut loss and Gordan Petrić's removal as Serbia U19 coach
Former Slovenia international Mišo Brečko, now head coach of Olimpija Ljubljana, suffered a 2-0 defeat in his first match in charge against Brava. He acknowledged the poor performance, saying the impression was “not the best” and that the team showed “old mistakes” and lacked quality in basic aspects.
In Serbia, the Football Association confirmed that Gordan Petrić will no longer serve as the selector of the under‑19 national team. The decision follows a disappointing European Championship campaign in which the side finished the group stage with three losses. Slađan Nikolić has been appointed as the new U19 coach ahead of the upcoming qualification round.
