Miodrag Linta calls on Croatia to address missing Serbs and war crimes

Miodrag Linta, President of the Alliance of Serbs in the Region, has urged Serbia to demand transparency from Croatia regarding missing persons and the prosecution of war crimes. Linta described recent demands from Croatian officials toward Serbia as “shameful and unacceptable.”

According to Linta, out of 1,725 missing persons listed by the Croatian Ministry of Veterans, more than 1,000 are of Serbian nationality. He accused Croatian authorities of refusing to disclose the ethnicity of the missing and blocking the exhumation and identification of the remains of approximately 200 Serbs located across more than 30 burial sites.

Furthermore, Linta called for the opening of security archives containing information on the killing of Serbian civilians and prisoners of war. He emphasized that access to such documentation is vital for establishing the truth and prosecuting those responsible for mass crimes. Linta stated that the issue of Serbian victims must not be suppressed or made subject to the political interests of Zagreb.
