Milan hosts major international footwear and leather trade fairs
Major international fashion and footwear trade fairs, including MICAM Milano, Mipel, and Lineapelle, are currently being held in Milan. These events serve as global hubs for the footwear, leather goods, and accessory sectors, bringing together brands, buyers, and international operators.
At MICAM, Spanish companies from Elche show a strong presence, accounting for 34% of Spanish brands at the event. Tunisia is also participating with five producers showcasing diverse collections. The 130th edition of Mipel focuses on leather goods and accessories, utilizing an experiential layout to facilitate networking between over 180 brands and international buyers.
Lineapelle, held alongside Simac-Tanning Tech, showcases components, skins, and machinery. It features over 1,000 exhibitors from 38 countries, with Italy and China representing the largest shares. The Fermo footwear district is also represented through Carifermo, highlighting the sector's resilience and focus on innovation despite complex market conditions.
