Miquel Miralles elected president of Baleares Hotel Chains Association
Miquel Miralles Julià, CEO of THB Hotels, has been elected as the 15th president of the Agrupación de Cadenas Hoteleras de Baleares (ACH). His term will span four years, from 2026 to 2030, following an Extraordinary General Assembly held at the Pure Salt Port Adriano hotel.
Miralles succeeds Carolina Quetglas, who will remain within the leadership as the second vice president. The new board includes Begoña Amengual as first vice president and Yannik Erhart as secretary and treasurer.
In his inaugural address, Miralles emphasized the need for a period defined by “serenity, coherence and capacity for analysis” to navigate a changing environment. He advocated for a less polarized debate regarding tourism, arguing that while the sector's impacts must be managed, it remains a vital driver of employment, investment, and development. His stated goals include defending regulated tourism against illegal activity, reducing bureaucracy, and improving communication with society to ensure the industry's contributions are recognized.
