Mira Andreeva Wins French Open Women's Singles, Becoming Youngest Champion Since 1992

Russian teenager Mira Andreeva, 19, claimed her first Grand Slam title by defeating Poland's Maya Chwalinska 6‑3, 6‑2 in the French Open women's singles final at Roland‑Garros on June 6. The match lasted about 1 hour 22 minutes, with early wind‑affected service games before Andreeva settled into a dominant rhythm.

Her victory makes her the youngest women's singles champion at the French Open since Monica Seles in 1992 and marks a milestone for the 8th‑seeded Russian, who entered the tournament as a qualifier. After the win, Andreeva celebrated on court and embraced coach Conchita Martínez, who has been instrumental in her development.
