Mira, Portugal Hosts Annual Festas de São Tomé Celebration in Late July

The municipality of Mira in Portugal will hold its annual Festas de São Tomé from July 22 to 27, featuring religious processions, concerts, food stalls, and a wide range of cultural activities that attract residents, expatriates and tourists.

Mayor Artur Fresco announced that entry will be free across all venues and highlighted a program opening with the band Os Quatro e Meia, followed by performances from Quim Barreiros, FAX, Némanus, Popcorners, DJ Beijaflor, local philharmonic bands, a pyromusical show and a tribute to Pink Floyd. The festivities also include the traditional candle procession, a solemn procession with local bands and the GNR band, and participation by the Minister of the Presidency António Leitão Amaro.
