Mira Sorvino discusses Weinstein blacklist and Woody Allen

During the San Diego Comic-Con Málaga, actress Mira Sorvino discussed the professional consequences of her allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein. Sorvino revealed that she was placed on a “black list” following her reports of sexual abuse, which lasted until 2018 and prevented her from securing major film roles.

To support her family during this period, Sorvino transitioned to television work. She also addressed her complex feelings regarding director Woody Allen. While describing her experience working on the Oscar-winning film ‘Poderosa Afrodita’ as wonderful at the time, she stated, “I think he is a good director, but a bad man, who has done horrible things,” referring to the allegations made by his adoptive daughter, Dylan Farrow.
