Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir to receive live-action adaptation

The popular animated superhero series ‘Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir’ is being adapted into a live-action series. The project is a co-development and co-production between Miraculous Corp and See-Saw Films, both of which are subsidiaries of Mediawan.

Written by Emme Hoy, the live-action version is intended to appeal to a broad, older audience while maintaining the interest of the franchise’s existing fanbase. Like the original animated series, the show will be set in Paris.

Since its debut in 2015, the franchise has achieved significant global reach, including 54 million YouTube subscribers and over 55 billion lifetime views. The animated series is currently in its sixth season, with a seventh season expected to launch later this year.
