Miramare hotel closed due to serious safety violations

The Red Moon pension in Miramare has been immediately closed by local authorities following a police investigation. The operation, conducted by the Rimini Local Police, initially began as a response to reports of drug dealing in the vicinity.

During the inspection, authorities discovered significant safety and regulatory violations. These included expired fire extinguishers and several breaches of workplace safety standards identified by the Fire Brigade. Furthermore, building police found that the hotel was operating with a number of rooms and beds exceeding its official authorization, which necessitated stricter fire prevention controls.

Due to these management, technical, and safety deficiencies, the Municipality issued an ordinance to suspend the hotel's activities and revoke its operating license to protect public safety. All guests were transferred to another facility.
