Miramas: Arsenal of firearms stolen from sport shooter

An investigation has been launched following a burglary at the home of a sport shooter in Miramas, Bouches-du-Rhône. During the night of August 7 to 8, while the owner was away, thieves broke into a secure storage area and stole an arsenal including ten rifles, three pistols, one revolver, one shotgun, and approximately 200 cartridges of various calibers.

The Territorial Criminality Division (DCT) is handling the case. This theft follows a major cyberattack on the French Shooting Federation (FFTir) in October 2025, which compromised the personal data of one million members. While the Ministry of the Interior previously noted several burglaries potentially linked to the sale of stolen FFTir data on the darknet, no direct connection has yet been established between that breach and the Miramas incident.
