Miranda de Ebro boosts cultural programs and green industrial investment
The municipal council of Miranda de Ebro approved a €12,500 contribution to the “Cine Familiar” programme at the local Cine Novedades, part of a €15,740.50 budget that will run through 2026 and provide 24 subsidised family‑oriented film sessions at reduced ticket prices. The council also signed a €3,000 grant for the fifth Employment and Business Forum, organised with the Burgos Business Associations Confederation, scheduled for 21 October.
In parallel, the city’s economic promotion office, Miranda Empresas, is finalising a partnership with the renewable‑energy firm Reolum. The company plans to locate a complex in Miranda that will include a biomass cogeneration plant, CO₂ capture unit, green‑hydrogen facility and an e‑green methanol synthesis line. Land acquisition is expected to be completed in September, followed by permitting for construction. The mayor described the project as a historic investment that will generate high‑quality jobs and reinforce Miranda’s position as an industrial and logistics hub.
