Miranda Hart to return to TV in Celebrity Traitors following health battle

Comedian and actress Miranda Hart is returning to television in the second series of the BBC show ‘The Celebrity Traitors’, set to launch on October 1. The 53-year-old star is making a comeback following a period of significant ill health.

Hart has been managing Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which she says was preceded by untreated Lyme disease. She described being housebound and bedbound for years, noting that the condition caused extreme exhaustion and pain.

While expressing excitement about the opportunity to work again, Hart noted that participating in the series will be ‘challenging’ on her body due to the ongoing fatigue and pain associated with ME. She will appear alongside other notable figures including Richard E. Grant, Michael Sheen, and Bella Ramsey.
