Miranda Kerr reveals dietary changes to manage proctitis
Model Miranda Kerr has revealed she has been privately managing proctitis, an inflammatory bowel condition, for several years. To manage the condition and avoid inflammation, Kerr has implemented a highly specific diet.
In an interview with Stellar magazine, the 43-year-old Australian model explained that she has had to cut certain foods, such as eggs, from her diet. Instead, she has incorporated meats like bison and venison, which she finds do not trigger her symptoms. Kerr noted that while she misses eating eggs, prioritizing her health allows her to perform better in her roles as a mother, professional, and friend.
Kerr emphasized that her dietary choices are personal and not intended as universal advice, noting that her children do not follow the same restrictive eating habits. She also mentioned her long-term use of noni juice and her preference for non-mass-produced meats and various vegetables like squash, carrots, and parsnips.
