Miranda Kerr's Restrictive Diet Sparks Health Concerns

Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr discussed her highly restrictive daily diet on the "Let's Be Honest" podcast with host Kristin Cavallari, describing changes she made after a six‑year battle with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The interview clip quickly amassed millions of views, prompting widespread media analysis of her meal plan, which excludes dairy, wheat, eggs and many other food groups.

Health professionals warned that presenting such a regimen as "healthy" can normalize disordered eating. Clinical psychologist Sarah Cox of the Butterfly Foundation said that labeling extreme calorie restriction as wellness reinforces harmful dieting habits and raises the risk of eating disorders, especially among adolescents. Kerr’s routine includes a long‑standing Noni‑juice shot, marshmallow tea, coconut yogurt with honey, and limited protein sources such as wild game.

Kerr also highlighted her charitable partnership with Undue Medical Debt, which has forgiven hospital debt for over 250,000 Californians. The publicity around her diet has sparked debate over celebrity influence on public health messaging.
