Miranda Lambert releases ‘Crisco’, a new country-disco fusion album

Crisco album country disco Snakeskin Boots Miranda Lambert Ella Langley

Country music star Miranda Lambert has released her 11th studio album, titled ‘Crisco’, marking a significant stylistic shift toward a blend of country and disco. Co-produced with Jesse Frasure, the 12-track project explores themes of joy, heartbreak, and romance through a retro-inspired lens.

The album features notable collaborations, including the opening track ‘Snakeskin Boots’ with Ella Langley and ‘A Song to Sing’ with Chris Stapleton. Lambert described the creative process as a journey of finding joy, noting that the record allows her to explore musical corners she has not previously touched, such as disco and sweeping strings.

During the album's launch, Lambert shared personal reflections, including a creative period of burnout and tears while songwriting with Luke Dick. She also addressed long-standing rumors regarding a 2010 altercation with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, clarifying that she ‘threw moonshine in his face’ rather than hitting him. Additionally, Lambert discussed her interest in mentoring the next generation of artists and her belief in the increasing diversity and balance within the modern country music industry.
