Miranda Lambert announces Ella Langley collaboration on new single

Country music artist Miranda Lambert has announced that Ella Langley will be featured on the opening track, ‘Snakeskin Boots,’ of her upcoming album, Crisco. The album is scheduled for release on October 2 via MCA.

Produced by Lambert and Jesse Frasure, ‘Snakeskin Boots’ is described as a cinematic, retro-Western track inspired by late-1960s Western films and the style of Nancy Sinatra’s ‘Bang Bang.’ Lambert noted that she and Langley are ‘kindred spirits’ who share similar retro influences. The song is intended to depict a narrative of two women making an escape.

This collaboration follows the success of ‘Choosin’ Texas,’ a song co-written and co-produced by Lambert that recently became the longest-running No. 1 song in Billboard Hot 100 history. Both artists have received multiple CMA Award nominations for their recent work.
