Ella Langley achieves massive success with ‘Choosin’ Texas’

Country music artist Ella Langley has achieved significant commercial success, with her single ‘Choosin’ Texas’ reaching 7x platinum status and her sophomore album, ‘Dandelion’, earning 2x platinum. ‘Choosin’ Texas’ notably became the longest-running #1 hit by a female artist this century and set a record for the longest-running #1 hit in U.S. history with 24 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

The hit song was inspired by a story shared by co-writer Miranda Lambert during a writers' retreat. Lambert recounted an incident where she was pulled over on a backroad in Oklahoma while driving with a pet kangaroo named Olivia. The interaction with the police officer, combined with the mention of Lambert having Texas license plates, provided the lyrical hook for the track.
