Miranda State recovers nearly 300 schools through reconstruction plan

Governor Elio Serrano announced that nearly 300 of the 1,381 national government-dependent schools in Miranda have been recovered in recent years. This progress is part of the School Reconstruction Plan implemented through the Community Military and Educational Brigades (Bricomiles).

Following seismic activity on June 24, approximately 361 schools were reported as affected. Efforts are currently underway to ensure school habitability ahead of the upcoming academic year starting September 14. Recovery work involves various entities, including the Ministry of Public Works, the Bolivarian Militia, and TransMiranda.
