Mirandola introduces new methane-powered school bus

The municipality of Mirandola has expanded its school transportation service with the delivery of a new bus to Mayor Letizia Budri. The new vehicle is an Iveco 65CNG powered by methane, featuring 40 seats for children and 3 for adult chaperones.

To ensure inclusivity, the bus is equipped with a ramp for passengers with motor disabilities. This addition means that two out of the five municipal school buses are now equipped with such platforms.

The service is vital for the region, covering over 100,000 kilometers annually across five lines to connect the main town with outlying districts. Currently, approximately 350 primary and middle school students utilize the service daily.
