Mirandola Jazz Festival returns for sixth edition in November

The sixth edition of the Mirandola Jazz Festival will take place from November 5 to November 8 at the Auditorium Rita Levi Montalcini. Organized by ATER Fondazione in collaboration with Associazione Più Mirandola and the C. e G. Andreoli Music School Foundation, the event features a series of jazz performances and cinematic tributes.

The program begins on November 5 with a free screening of Louis Malle’s 1958 film ‘Ascensore per il patibolo’, celebrating the centenary of Miles Davis, who composed the soundtrack. On November 6, the Accordi Disaccordi Trio will perform ‘Sotto le stelle del cinema’, a concert blending gipsy jazz, Mediterranean sounds, and Latin rhythms with iconic film music.

On November 7, the Roberto Gatto 4tet featuring Pietro Tonolo will present ‘Around Miles and Trane’, a contemporary reinterpretation of hard bop and historical jazz honoring the centenaries of Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
