Mirandola to host third Milton Marelli International Lyric Singing Prize

The third edition of the biennial Milton Marelli International Lyric Singing Prize is scheduled to take place from November 13 to 15, 2026, in Mirandola. The event is dedicated to promoting young operatic talent and honoring the memory of Milton Marelli, who spent decades contributing to the spread of opera.

Established by the City of Mirandola and the cultural association ‘Amici della Musica APS’, this edition features new collaboration with the ‘C. e G. Andreoli’ Music School Foundation. The final concert and award ceremony will be held on November 15 at the ‘Rita Levi Montalcini’ Auditorium.

Preliminary rounds and semifinals will be held at Villa Recchi. The jury will be chaired by Adua Veroni Pavarotti and include representatives from the Fondazione Arena di Verona, the ‘Luciano Pavarotti’ Conservatory of Modena and Carpi, and other musical institutions. Since its inception in 2022, the prize has seen participation from over 160 singers from various countries.
