Mirandolina theater productions scheduled for August premieres

The comedy “Mirandolina,” based on the work of Carlo Goldoni, is scheduled for performances in mid-August.

In Montenegro, the production directed and adapted by Tatjana Mandić Rigonat will be performed at the Tivat Culture Center on August 15 as part of the Purgatorije 2026 festival. The play explores themes of female independence, intelligence, and the struggle for freedom in a world driven by wealth and greed.

In Germany, Kulturwerkstatt KAOS, in cooperation with the European Theater Institute Berlin Acting School, will premiere its production of the same play on the KAOS Terrace on August 15. This production, directed by Isabella Hertel-Niemann, follows the story of a self-confident innkeeper who asserts herself in a male-dominated world and engages in a battle of wits with the misogynistic Knight of Ripafratta.
