Mirantis k0rdent AI achieves NVIDIA certification for GPU virtualization

Mirantis has announced that its k0rdent AI platform has joined the NVIDIA-Certified Hypervisors Program. The cloud-native infrastructure platform is now officially certified for GPU virtualization in high-performance environments.

In technical testing on GB200 NVL72 and HGX hardware tracks, k0rdent AI achieved performance levels within 5% of bare-metal execution. This level of efficiency is intended to help enterprises manage complex AI infrastructures without significant hardware performance loss.

The platform integrates the NVIDIA Infra Controller (Nico) to automate bare-metal server detection, firmware checks, and the setup of NVIDIA Bluefield DPUs. Mirantis stated that the platform currently supports the Blackwell architecture and is prepared for future generations, such as NVIDIA Vera Rubin, allowing operators to upgrade hardware without rebuilding their entire infrastructure stack.
