Mirassol's league match against Grêmio moved up amid World Cup pause

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) rescheduled Mirassol's Brasileirão fixture with Grêmio to July 16, moving it three days before the World Cup final. The advance was needed because Grêmio will compete in the Copa Sudamericana playoffs, prompting the CBF to also bring forward matches involving Botafogo‑Santos, Vitória‑Vasco and Fluminense‑Red Bull Bragantino.

Mirassol’s plans were further affected when the club cancelled a planned friendly with Internacional on July 11, citing lack of time after the schedule change. Internacional therefore kept its behind‑closed‑doors training match against Coritiba and will face Cruzeiro officially on July 22. Mirassol also confirmed the permanent signing of striker Edson Carioca on a contract through 2028.
