Mircea Rednic linked to Belgian club KV Kortrijk

Romanian football manager Mircea Rednic is reportedly being considered as a candidate to lead the Belgian club KV Kortrijk. The team is currently at the bottom of the Jupiler League after failing to secure a single point in its first six matches of the season.

KV Kortrijk recently parted ways with coach Michiel Jonckheere following a period of poor performance. Rednic, who has previously managed Belgian sides including Standard Liege, Gent, and Mouscron, is among several names under consideration. Other potential candidates include Bernd Storck and Marink Reedijk, though Hein Vanhaezebrouck is noted as a favorite for the position.

Rednic, 64, has been without a managerial role since his departure from Standard Liege in 2025. He has expressed a desire to return to coaching despite facing significant personal challenges over the past year.
