Edi Rama convenes Socialist Party leaders in Pogradec
Prime Minister Edi Rama has convened a series of high-level meetings in Pogradec with Socialist Party leaders, parliamentary commission chairs, and government ministers to set the agenda for the new political season.
A central component of these discussions is the introduction of the “Besa” and “Prania Besnike” documents, which aim to redefine the relationship between the administration and citizens by emphasizing empathy, service, and increased presence in local communities. Rama also announced the creation of “Pasqyrë Albania,” a digital platform designed to allow citizens to track the status of their requests and grievances to state institutions in real time.
The meetings also serve as a performance review for the government. Ministers are expected to report on their activities from January to August 2026, with a focus on meeting objectives and improving public communication. Additionally, the sessions include strategic planning for the 2027 local elections, with Rama emphasizing the need for candidates with high integrity and strong community ties. The discussions also touch upon territorial reforms, including the proposed merger of 15 municipalities.
