Miri Gospel Chapel donates RM84,000 for Nepal disaster relief
Miri Gospel Chapel has donated RM84,000 to support emergency relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts for victims of recent disasters in Nepal. The funds were raised through contributions from church members following an appeal.
Elder Gordon Chew, the church chairman, stated that the donation is a way to translate concern into action following the scale of destruction reported in Nepal. The contribution will be channeled through the Rural Development Service Centre (RDSC), a non-profit organization operating on the ground in Nepal.
The funds are intended to assist with immediate needs, such as food and temporary shelter, as well as long-term recovery efforts, including providing clothing for the winter and helping families rebuild their lives.
