Miriam Myhren Bouchleh completes 250 consecutive ultramarathons
Miriam Myhren Bouchleh, a 30-year-old clinical nutritionist and running coach, has completed an unofficial world record by running 250 ultramarathons in 250 consecutive days. An ultramarathon is defined as any distance exceeding a standard marathon of approximately 42 kilometers.
During the challenge, which began in December, Myhren Bouchleh maintained an average of 50 kilometers per day. On her final day, she ran 111 kilometers over the course of eleven hours. She noted that the project was intended to be a gift to herself for her 30th birthday and emphasized the importance of listening to her body to avoid injury.
In addition to the physical feat, Myhren Bouchleh used the platform to raise nearly 80,000 NOK for Doctors Without Borders to support their work against childhood malnutrition. She expressed interest in having the achievement recognized by the Guinness World Records.
