Miriam Neureuther discusses family privacy and motherhood

Former biathlete Miriam Neureuther has spoken about her decision to prioritize her family's privacy and her role as a mother of four. In recent interviews, she emphasized that her children should be protected from public scrutiny and stated, “The children have no business there,” referring to the intense public eye. While she occasionally shares glimpses of her children on Instagram, she ensures their faces remain unseen to allow them to decide their own public presence once they reach adulthood.

Neureuther, who lives in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with her husband, former athlete Felix Neureuther, has intentionally scaled back her professional career to focus on her children, who range in age from eighteen months to nine years. She described the ability to spend time with her family as a “huge gift.”

Additionally, Neureuther has released a new book titled “Tannenduft und Glitzerschnee,” which incorporates elements of her family life, including recipes and seasonal rituals. She noted that while she and Felix work as a team regarding education, she tends to be the stricter parent in their household.
