Mirjawal promotes veterinary business growth to expand job opportunities
Drh. Mirjawal, Chairperson of the PDHI West Java V Branch and candidate for Chairperson of the Indonesian Veterinary Medical Association (PB PDHI) for 2026–2030, is advocating for the strengthening of the veterinary business ecosystem to expand job opportunities for veterinarians.
Mirjawal proposes reinforcing the Non-Territorial Development Unit (UPNT) to support members in various sectors, including veterinary clinics, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, feed, laboratories, livestock, and digital technology. He suggests that veterinarians can transition from purely professional roles to becoming entrepreneurs, company leaders, technology developers, and investors.
The proposed support includes tailored business mentoring: new entrepreneurs would receive help with business models and market identification, while established businesses would focus on financial management, service quality, leadership, and risk management. The goal is to increase business management quality, develop field-based solutions, and foster new partnerships and employment opportunities.
