Mirko Drotschmann explores the history of work in new ZDF documentary

Journalist and YouTuber Mirko Drotschmann, known as MrWissen2Go, is exploring the evolution of the working world in a new episode of the ZDF documentary series ‘Terra X: Was die Welt am Laufen hält’.

The documentary examines the transition from agricultural labor to modern desk jobs, highlighting the harsh realities of the 19th-century industrial revolution. It details how workers and children faced exploitation, often working up to 15 hours a day, six days a week, under poor conditions.

Alongside researcher Nina Kleinöder, Drotschmann traces how these historical shifts shaped the 21st-century labor market and its contemporary challenges.
