Mirko Miličić criticizes media narratives on Serbs in Montenegro

Mirko Miličić, spokesperson for Nova srpska demokratija, has criticized media narratives regarding the status of the Serbian people in Montenegro. He claims that certain media outlets are engaging in ill-intentioned polemics that portray the current government as anti-Serbian, which he argues serves to weaken the Serbian political factor and indirectly strengthens the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).

Miličić stated that topics previously ignored during the rule of Milo Đukanović are being resurfaced by analysts and media guests. He asserted that Nova srpska demokratija acts as a guarantee against the discrimination of Serbs in employment and social life, and aims to protect the Serbian Orthodox Church from attempts at seizure. He emphasized that political changes do not alter the traditional and deep-rooted ties between Montenegro and Serbia.
