Miro Naletilić presents ABBA-themed picture book in Široki Brijeg

Author and librarian Miro Naletilić presented his new picture book, ‘Plesne kraljice ABBA’ (ABBA Dancing Queens), at the National Library in Široki Brijeg. The event was part of the ‘Briješka zvona 2026’ manifestation.

The book uses the career of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA to teach young readers about the importance of musical passion, talent, and hard work. Naletilić, a recipient of the ‘Krešimir Šego’ literary award, noted that the project aims to connect different generations through the timeless values of art.

The presentation featured the first ‘kamishibai’ project in Herzegovina, utilizing the traditional Japanese paper theater technique to tell the story. The event, published by Udruga Sretna škola, included musical performances of ABBA hits and commentary from art historian Tomislav Ćavar and educational advisor Lidija Jerković, who highlighted the book's potential as supplementary teaching material for music and language arts.
