Former Partizan basketball player Miroslav Berić has heavily criticized Dwayne Washington following Bayern Munich's EuroLeague loss to Partizan in Munich. Berić condemned Washington's conduct, specifically his provocative celebrations in front of Partizan fans after scoring.

Berić compared Washington's gestures to those of footballer Fernando Torres, noting that it was disrespectful to celebrate so irritably against a club where Washington spent two years. He remarked, “You are gesturing as if you scored a goal, moving irritably towards the fans and the club where you ate bread for two years.”

Beyond the behavioral criticism, Berić analyzed the game's final moments, suggesting Washington's decision to attempt a decisive three-pointer instead of a safer play led to his failure. Berić noted that while Washington was the most efficient player for Bayern, his missed shot ultimately cost the team the game.
