Mirova expands energy transition investment presence in Sydney

Mirova, the sustainable investment affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has established a dedicated private assets team in Sydney to support energy transition infrastructure investments across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The new team, led by Investment Director Kim Nguyen, will focus on identifying and evaluating potential investments while building relationships with local developers and stakeholders.

Mirova has already invested over $700 million in Australia and New Zealand, with holdings in companies such as TagEnergy, JET Charge, and Yanara Australia. The firm cited Australia’s renewable energy resources and growing infrastructure pipeline as key drivers for the expansion.

In conjunction with this regional expansion, Mirova has announced a new executive committee structure under CEO Léa Dunand-Chantellet. The reshuffle includes several key appointments, such as Candice Brenet as deputy CEO and Raphaël Lance as CIO for private assets, aimed at strengthening governance and preparing the firm for growth in the maturing sustainable finance market.
