Mirra Andreeva to Face Maja Chwalinska in Roland Garros Women’s Final

Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva, 19, became the first player born after 2005 to reach a Grand Slam final, securing her place in the 2026 Roland Garros women’s championship after a straight‑sets semifinal win over Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk. Andreeva will move into the world No. 6 ranking regardless of the outcome and will earn €2.8 million as champion.

Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska, ranked No. 114, advanced from the qualifying rounds to the final by defeating world No. 23 Diana Shnaider. She is the first qualifier to reach a Grand Slam final since Emma Raducanu in 2021 and could climb to around world No. 14 with a victory, earning €1.4 million. The final is scheduled for 16:00 on Eurosport and HBO Max in Paris.
