Mirtha Legrand shows favorable recovery after hospitalizing for pneumopathy

Mirtha Legrand, the 99-year-old Argentine television icon, is showing favorable progress following her hospitalization at Sanatorio Mater Dei for a respiratory condition known as pneumopathy. According to a medical report signed by Director Enrique Echagüe, Legrand has successfully completed her antibiotic treatment and is continuing to evolve positively.

While she remains hospitalized to complete her rehabilitation and undergo kinesiology, her family reports she is in good spirits and remains attentive to her surroundings. Her granddaughter, Juana Viale, has been temporarily hosting ‘La Noche de Mirtha’ in her absence, noting that Legrand continues to provide guidance and commentary on the program from her hospital room.

The medical team has indicated that Legrand will remain under observation to ensure a full recovery before she is cleared to return to her usual activities. A new medical update is expected on Wednesday, provided there are no significant changes in her condition.
