Mirtha Legrand discharged from hospital after 18-day stay

Argentine television host Mirtha Legrand has been discharged from the Sanatorio Mater Dei following an 18-day hospitalization for a respiratory condition. She was released on Tuesday afternoon after being admitted on September 18 due to health concerns.

Her granddaughter, Juana Viale, reported that Legrand is back at home and in good spirits. Medical reports indicated that the host had been progressing well with kinesiology rehabilitation prior to her discharge.

Journalist Damián Rojo noted a period of information silence during the hospitalization and suggested that the discharge might be a precautionary measure to avoid hospital-acquired viruses. While expressing caution regarding medical discharges in general, Rojo stated he was joining the celebrations regarding her return home, where she will receive continuous medical care.
