Mirtha Legrand shows favorable progress during hospitalization
Argentine television host Mirtha Legrand is showing a favorable evolution following her hospitalization at Sanatorio Mater Dei for a respiratory condition described as neumopatía. According to medical reports signed by Director Enrique Echagüe, the 99-year-old presenter is improving daily but will remain hospitalized for several more days to ensure strict medical control and adequate care.
This is Legrand’s second hospitalization in September, following a previous stay for bronchitis earlier in the month. Family members and close associates, including Juana Viale and Marcela Tinayre, have expressed their support and gratitude to the medical staff. Viale has been stepping in to host Legrand’s television programs, such as ‘La noche de Mirtha’ and ‘Almorzando con Juana’, during her absence.
Reports from those close to the host indicate she is in good spirits, has been able to sit up, and is watching television. A new medical update is expected on Friday, September 26, provided there are no sudden changes in her condition.
