Mirtha Legrand shows favorable recovery at Sanatorio Mater Dei

Mirtha Legrand, the 99-year-old Argentine television host, is showing favorable progress in her recovery at the Sanatorio Mater Dei. Following her hospitalization on September 18 for a respiratory condition described as pneumopathy, the latest medical report signed by Medical Director Enrique Echagüe indicates she is currently in a common room.

Legrand is receiving comprehensive care, including kinesiology, nutritional, and clinical monitoring. The medical institution stated that she is “in the process of recovery to be able to return home,” though no specific discharge date has been set.

In light of her continued hospitalization, her granddaughter, Juana Viale, will host a special edition of “La Noche de Mirtha” on October 3. The medical center has indicated that if there are no significant changes in her clinical status, a new update will be released on Monday, October 5.
