Mirza Ćatović joins Barça Atlètic on loan from Stuttgart

Mirza Ćatović has officially joined Barça Atlètic on loan from VfB Stuttgart. The agreement runs until June 30, 2027, and includes an option for a permanent transfer.

Born in Serbia, the 19-year-old defensive midfielder developed through the youth ranks at Rot-Weiss Frankfurt and Stuttgart. He gained professional experience in Germany's 3. Liga, making 29 appearances during the 2025/26 season. Ćatović is noted for his physical strength, ball security, and ability to play across the midfield and defensive lines.

While currently a youth international for Germany, having competed in the 2026 U-19 European Championship, Ćatović's international future is a subject of interest. He has indicated he does not plan to represent Serbia, leading to speculation regarding a potential future move to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina.
