MIS São Paulo extends Juscelino Kubitschek photography exhibition

The Museum of Image and Sound (MIS) in São Paulo has extended its exhibition ‘50 anos sem JK’ until October 4. The showcase is open to the public with free admission.

The exhibition features previously unpublished photographs of Juscelino Kubitschek taken by French photographer Jean Manzon, who lived in Brazil and closely documented the former president's political journey. The collection includes images from his administration and the construction of Brasília, alongside new records from the MIS archives.

Curated by MIS Director-General André Sturm, the display highlights the friendship between Manzon and Kubitschek. The exhibition also incorporates video content derived from documentaries produced in 1980 and 1993 to provide diverse perspectives on the former president's life and his role in Brazil's modernization.
