Misano Adriatico Secures Green and Yellow Tourism Flags for 2024
The Italian seaside town of Misano Adriatico has been awarded the Bandiera Verde (Green Flag) by the Italian Pediatricians and the Bandiera Gialla (Yellow Flag) by the Italian Federation of Bicycle (FIAB), alongside its long‑standing Bandiera Blu (Blue Flag). The Green Flag recognises the town’s high standards for family‑friendly beaches, including water quality, safety, shallow seabeds, rescue services and dedicated play areas. Recent water‑quality tests by ARPAE Emilia‑Romagna rated all monitoring points as “excellent”. The Yellow Flag, confirmed with four Bike Smile recognitions, highlights Misano’s policies on sustainable mobility, road safety and the development of its cycling network, notably the EcoVia del Mare, which recorded over 250,000 bicycle passes in the first half of the year. The awards were presented by Environment Assessor Nicola Schivardi in the presence of FIAB Rimini councilors Alberto Rossini, Valerio Benelli and Roberto Renzi.
