Civil Protection volunteer initiatives launched in San Miniato and Trento

Civil Protection volunteering Misericordia di San Miniato Nu. Vol. A. emergency management

The Misericordia di San Miniato has announced a new Basic Course for Civil Protection Volunteers. The program, which begins on October 26, 2026, is designed for citizens aged 18 and older to gain skills in emergency management, environmental protection, and community support. To introduce potential participants to the role, the organization will host an interactive session titled ‘60 minuti da volontario,’ featuring realistic simulations and practical exercises.

In a separate development, the Nu. Vol. A. (Protezione civile Ana Trento) celebrated 40 years of service in Trento. The organization, which has responded to floods, earthquakes, and the Covid-19 pandemic, held a ceremony at the Cittadella della Protezione civile. Officials, including Giulia Zanotelli, highlighted the need to engage younger generations to ensure the continuity of volunteer services within the community.
