Misión Nevado inaugurates animal shelter in Boleíta

An animal shelter managed by Misión Nevado has been inaugurated in Boleíta to provide medical and refuge services for vulnerable and stray animals. The facility was established following seismic events on June 24.

Acting President Delcy Rodríguez led the opening of the center, which is designed to care for approximately 400 rescued pets. The infrastructure includes a high-level surgical area, advanced incubators, and a clinical laboratory equipped with artificial intelligence for precise diagnostics.

Additional services offered at the facility include complex surgery, dentistry, vaccination programs, and training. The center also features specialized cat areas, an institutional kitchen for specific diets, and recreation zones to support the emotional well-being of the animals. The facility will operate continuously to promote responsible adoption and serve as a rescue hub.
