Misinto Mayor defends absence from Zappa Institute meeting

Matteo Piuri, the Mayor of Misinto, has issued a clarification regarding his absence from an institutional meeting held on September 3 at the Province of Varese. The meeting concerned the Zappa Institute in Saronno and the implementation of double shifts.

Piuri addressed criticisms regarding the lack of political participation at the meeting, stating that the invitation was only received late the morning before the event. He described the notice as “almost non-existent” and argued that stigmatizing the absence without verifying the circumstances was inappropriate. He maintained that the position expressed by the mayors in their joint note remains a legitimate representation of the interests of students and parents in the territory.
