Misiones adds Sintrópolis private reserve to protected areas system

The Ministry of Ecology and Renewable Natural Resources of Misiones has officially added ‘Sintrópolis’ to the province’s System of Protected Natural Areas (ANP). Located in the municipality of Alba Posse along the Uruguay River, the new 23-hectare private reserve is dedicated to the conservation and restoration of native forests, reforestation, and environmental education.

This incorporation brings the total number of private reserves within the provincial system to 58. The agreement was formalized by Ecology Minister Martín Recamán, Subsecretary Facundo Ringa, and Alba Posse Mayor Lucas Gerhardt, alongside the reserve's owners. The initiative aims to consolidate private landownership participation in protecting the biodiversity of the Paranaense Forest.
