Misiones electricity provider restores high-voltage lines after storms
Energía de Misiones has successfully restored high-voltage (132kV) electrical infrastructure following severe storms in the province. The power supply has been normalized for Aristóbulo del Valle, Salto Encantado, Dos de Mayo, San Vicente, El Soberbio, and surrounding areas.
The electrical failures were caused by strong winds blowing eucalyptus bark into the lines, resulting in short circuits. While high-voltage service is returning, repairs remain pending for 33kV and 13.2kV lines in heavily impacted regions, including El Soberbio and municipalities in the Alto Uruguay area.
Technical crews are also working in Itacaruaré, where extreme weather caused significant damage to houses and warehouses. Ongoing extreme weather conditions are expected to persist, potentially complicating technical responses and causing further damage.
