Misiones government prepares 53% increase in education budget
The provincial government of Misiones is preparing a 53% budget increase for the Ministry of Education. Minister Ramiro Aranda announced that he will defend this budget before the Legislature, outlining planned actions and projects through 2027 for the General Education Council and the Provincial Service of Private Education of Misiones (SPEPM).
Aranda noted that the province is increasingly absorbing costs previously covered by national funds. This includes the financing of school cafeterias and educational infrastructure projects. Specifically, the province has had to take over works such as the EPET 53 in Alberdi, which had originally been funded by the National Institute of Technological Education (INET) before those national funds became unavailable.
