Misiones Prosthetics Bank nears 600 deliveries milestone
The Misiones Prosthetics Bank is nearing a milestone of 600 deliveries under its current service system, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Dr. Roberto Gisin, coordinator of Special Programs at Parque de la Salud, reported that 599 prostheses have been distributed to date.
The service provides rapid access to care, with patients often receiving appointments within a week. To reach patients in the interior of the province, the organization conducts monthly satellite clinics.
Beyond assisting amputees, the program provides support for children with conditions such as clubfoot and other pathologies requiring orthopedic devices or specific rehabilitation treatments. The technical team includes specialists such as kinesiologists and psychologists.
